Friday 1/5/24 Game #6 the Day Student Navigators Vs the Youth Advocacy Program Basketball Team

The Navigators played a half court 1-3-1 defense for the first time, without using the full court press and still managed to turn over the Youth Advocacy Program Basketball Team at a high rate! The results was the score of 137 – 34. All 8 Navigator players scored in double figures! Jaden “Scooter” Bermudez who led the team with 29 Pts, 6 assists, 6 rebs, 6 stls & (3) 3-Pt buckets. Kawon “Hesi” Bradley dropped 24 Pts, 8 assists, 11 rebs, 6 stls, 4 Blocked shots & (1) 3-Pt bucket. Manny “Silk” Pierce added 21 Pts, 4 assists, 12 rebs, 8 stls, 4 Blocked Shot & (1) 3-Pt bucket. Javien “Sticky Fingers” Bermudez dropped 18 Pts, 5 assists, 5 rebs & 5 stls. Uzziah “Wemby” Willis added 12 Pts & 10 rebs. Newcomer Kadell “Yogi” Bankhead dropped 12 Pts & 5 rebs. Edrick “Easy” Perez dropped 11 Pts & 6 assists. Allen “On Time” Perez added 10 Pts & 7 assists.
The Red Raiders played like they have been playing together for a while, as a result, beat the B Team Navigators by the score of 47 – 40. The Navigators were led by Nahjee F. who dropped 11 points, 3 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals and Teammate Haywood T. also dropped 11 points, 2 assists, 8 rebounds and (1) 3pt bucket in the loss.
The Game started out with the Navigators having the led by 10 points in the first half. At half time, the other Team called in reinforcements and more talent, the results was a 10 point victory for JP – All- Stars which went on to win by the score of 107 – 97. The Navigators were led by season MVP Manny Pierce who scored 24 points, 4 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocked shots. Teammates scoring in double figures were, Butta with 19 points, Angel with 15 points, Vinny with 13 points, Majestic with 12 points and Zion chipped in 10 points and 15 rebounds in the loss.
Game #2 was just as close and exciting as the first contest! Again AAU Team Lighting came away with a 2 point victory, by the score of 54 – 52. The Navigators were led by Dashaun R. who scored 12 points, 4 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. Teammate Javien B. added 14 points, 2 assists, 11 rebounds and 5 steals in the loss.
The Navigators once again played an older Team and held their own, but loss the contest by the score of 102 to 94. Newcomer Mykaia Anderson dropped 35 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals & 3 blocked shots. Teammate Yahir Rosa also dropped 35 points & 5 steals. Manny Pierce added 14 points & Raeesh scored 10 points in the loss.
The Navigators played a tight contest, by in the closing seconds, they turned the ball over and loss by the score of 51 to 50 to Team Lightning at Bishop Gibbons Gymnasium. The Navigators were led by Manny Pierce who dropped 14 points, 3 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals & 3 blocked shots. Teammate Allen Perez added 11 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds in the loss.
The Navigators put up a good fight, playing against 19yrs to 23 yrs. olds – In the end the Tony Clements A-Team prevailed by the score of 109 to 101. The Navigators had 5 five players in double figures, led by Yahir Rosa who dropped 26 points, Manny Pierce dropped 22 points, Yandy M. dropped 19 points, Rameesh dropped 12 points and Allen Perez dropped 10 points in the loss
The Navigators with only 5 players, traveled out the Amsterdam Community Center and scored 128 total points, again led by point guard Yahir “Speedy” Rosa, who scored 38 points, 10 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, & (2) 3-Pt buckets. Teammates Rameesh dropped 27 points, 8 assists, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, & (3) 3-Pt buckets. Yandy M. dropped 23 points & 15 rebounds, Manny P. dropped 24 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, & 5 blocked shots and Jaden B. scored 16 points, 3 assists & 3 steals
The Navigators led throughout the game until the fourth quarter, then the Elite AAU Team, with more players and a bench players that probably are starters, over took the lead and finished with the final score being 114 to 95. The Navigators were led by Yahir “Speedy” Rosa who dropped 51 points on the Elite AAU Team. Teammates Manny Pierce dropped 14 points and Teammate Kawon Bradley dropped 10 points in the loss.
The Navigators played hard ball denial man-to-man defense, the results ended by the Navigators scoring 108 and Amsterdam scored 77. The Navigators were led by Point Guard sensation Yahir Rosa, who dropped 42 points, 4 assists, 14 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 block shots & (4) 3-Pt Buckets! Teammate and Partner Yandel Martinez added 13 points & 10 rebounds –All- around player Allen “On Time” Perez contributed 14 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds & 3 steals – Small Forward Kawon “Hesi” Bradley dropped 10 points, 4 assists, 15 rebounds, 3 steals & 3 blocked shots in the win.
Wednesday 2/21/24 Game #12 the Tony Clements Alternative School B-Team Vs the Day Student Navigators
The Navigators totally dominated the offensive & defensive boards, as New Comer Teammate Gage “The Rage” Corsi Put on a offensive rebounding demonstration with 10 put back buckets, while scoring a total of 30 points & 22 rebounds help the Navigators win by the score of 86 – 54. Teammates Kawon “Hesi” dropped 18 points, Allen “On Time” added a double-double with 11 points & 11 assists, Javien “Stick Fingers-Put in 11 points & 4 steals, and Jo Jo Darling scored 11 points for the win.
